The annual Day on the Hill: our “Trip to Tallahassee” is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 2017.  This event is for ALL members of the association and provides an opportunity for you to visit your Senator and Representative in his/her Tallahassee office, as a part of the organized trip.  Given the current bills in both the House and the Senate to Deregulate the Auction Profession, is it vital that we all support our association and our industry.

Those who are available to meet the afternoon of Tuesday, April 11^th in Tallahassee will be able to participate in the planning session to organize the groups and review handout materials.  We will discuss the process and priorities, and review any specific member’s schedule from 3pm to 6pm, followed by dinner as a group.  For those who will be joining us Wednesday morning, we will have a brief organizational meeting before heading to the Capital from 8am to 9:30am.

We will be meeting at the Wyndham Garden Hotel at 1355 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, (850) 877-3171 Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning.   Rooms for the night of April 11^th may be booked at this hotel at a rate of $129 per night, breakfast is included.  Please notify the hotel that you are with the Florida Auctioneers Association.  There is a limited number of rooms available.

It would be very beneficial if you reach out to your own Senator and Representative and schedule a brief meeting for Wednesday, April 12, either their office in advance.
