FAA 2023 Legislative Day on the Hill

Join us April 19th at the Capitol!

The Florida Auctioneers Association Annual Day on the Hill is April 19, 2023. This is a great opportunity for members to meet in Tallahassee and visit their Representatives and Senators in their Capitol offices. We will meet at 9:00 am Wednesday morning, at Sharkey's Cafe at the Capitol, located on the north side of the Lower Level. We will organize teams for the day and distribute handouts and maps for each person present. Each team will have a list of Senators/Representatives offices to visit and with proper planning, we will cover the entire list by the end of day.

Please let us know, by Friday, April 14th, if you plan to join us in Tallahassee so that we can organize our groups for the Legislator visits.

Some key things that each member should consider in preparing for that event:

Call or email your Representative and Senator’s local office and tell the Legislative Assistant that you plan to visit Tallahassee on April 19th as part of the Florida Auctioneers Association’s annual Day on the Hill, and schedule a meeting with them.

The following link will provide you with information for your state and federal legislators.

As of today, we have found no bills that have been introduced, that would negatively impact Florida Auctioneers; however, we’ll keep our fingers crossed as we proceed. This can change throughout the 2023 Session as Bills pass through the different committees.

There are multiple hotel options if you plan come in on Tuesday, to attend Day on the Hill on Wednesday. Some of the FAA Board Members will be staying at

We highly recommend booking a room as soon as possible and canceling if you decide not to attend. Rooms will have less availability and more expensive as the date becomes closer.

For those who will be arriving on Tuesday, there is a small group who will be gathering for dinner at 7 pm at Georgio's - 2971 Apalachee Parkway
